It's amazing how many people Microsoft irked when it came out with Vista and forced so many programs into incompatibility. One thing that I've noticed in particular is that older printers just never seem to want to install on Vista. The installation CD's are all set and ready to go for XP, but put them in a Vista computer and you're not going anywhere. My newer printer came with 2 separate installation CD's: one for XP and one for Vista. Don't plan on keeping your old printer if you're buying a new Vista computer!

Good point. This just goes to show that Microsoft has a good, firm hold on the market. It's almost an arrogance of sorts. "Even if we tick off our users by messing around with their old printers they'll still purchase our products because they don't have a choice!" (insert evil laugh)

I have a HP Deskjet 3915 printer and I just got a new computer with Vista. And I don't think the printer works with the computer, because it won't let me install the printer software on it. Is there any updates I can get online for my printer? What do I do?
