Default Photoshop and Vista

This is the main reason I haven't upgraded to Vista yet, I've heard there have been so many problems with Vista and photoshop. I am a photographer, and I use photoshop to process my images. I need the program to run smoothly. Does anyone know if there are patches available or anything that make Creative Suite run well on Vista?

I am not aware of any myself but that doesnt mean there are none. I know someone that uses PS for many things and ended up getting a brand new computer to be on the safe side so that both will run together without being slow since Vista is tougher with PS running. Is it possible you could upgrade?

I guess I don't see what you are saying.. I'm worried about upgrading to Vista, because I need photoshop to run well. I'm running the current version of photoshop, CS3, with upgrades on, so I know the problem isn't there.

I can run photo shop on my vista but there are some parts of photo shop that are not compatable with vista. So, just like when installing my hp photosmart printer, I can't install the entire program. I don't have an up to date version of ps though, that could be the problem.

I also have an hp photosmart, though that's not a huge issue, as my photos prints I almost always send out to my prolab, the quality of photos from my home printer is ghastly compared to the lab.

What other parts of PS hold you up?

I am wondering if you ever upgraded your OS to Vista or if you have held out? I believe Vista works fine with Photoshop now but there has been time for many of the software programmers to put together new drivers and updates. I don't use PS myself but a friend of mine does and he runs it on Vista without any problems.
