I really didn't experience that problem as I've used many versions of Office. It could just be my wonderful memory (cough, cough) but I have found 2007 easy to use and configure. Is there a particular part you are talking about?
Whenever I get a new or updated version of Office I always manually configure my icons to help me do what I want and not what they think I would want. Even if they don't have an icon (thesarus) I would rather see the word and have it right there where I can use it. Chris |

I am sure you are not alone, I freaked out when I first loaded it too thinking where is "everything". After awhile you get used to it, but I wont lie I still forget where things are now, though it does look much cleaner.

It was a bit of a learning curve, but so was the first version of ofice you ever used. Its hard to remember how hard it was to learn a program the first time, and when they change it around on us its annoying.

The problem is with programs like Office that they have too many features. This means that ultimately they get crowded and need cleaning up in this way which is unfortunate.
There has been a lot of this lately-with tool bars disappearing and you have to press alt to view them. Not sure it's clean or just messing with your head. |

I have only used Word and Excel so far and they didn't seem much different, as with the other persons I had a little difficulty finding the things I needed, but for the most part it was ok....I still prefer XP and 98 though.
