I know most people knows Google and uses this automatically, but does anyone prefer other search engines? I find Yahoo or MSN don't return as many relevant sites on those searches. Any other options?

Very few times will I shy away from Google. If there is something I want to compare results with then I will but that is about the only time too.

There was a time when I used yahoo most of the times, but these days the first option is always yahoo. The results seem to be more comprehensive than the others.

Not so long ago, my search engine of choice was Altavista - I don't even know if they are still around. Every now and then, I try metacrawler.com, but 9 out of 10 times, I simply stick with Google.
