Default All in Ones

I see the prices of All in One (AIO) devices - those that print scan, copy and sometimes fax - generally coming down. I'm wondering if they do as good a job as their counterparts that do specialise like printers or scanners.

Default Mine does very well

I have an HP psc 1315v all-in-one and it does a very good job. Copies and prints are excellent quality. Scans I can't compare as it is my first scanner and I think I've only used it once but the pictures my daughter scanned into the computer look good. I only paid $89 about three or four years ago so it's probably cheaper now.

I have 2 all-in-ones and love them both. It is nice to be able to do everything you need to do through one box instead of many. You just need to make sure that you don't go toward something that may not do all you need it to do.

I have an AIO that also is a photo printer and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The quality of the scanned documents is incredible as is the quality of the printing. The pictures it prints are incredibly sharp. I think they are the way to go if you need something that is more than just a printer.

I don't have one yet but contemplating buying one for my home office that I am setting up. I have been told by a technician some time ago that sometimes these all in ones do work too well, because when when thing goes bad, the entire thing seem to malfunction.

I've actually found just the opposite. One part will break while the rest work just fine. We had a HP PSC 750 and the scanner/copier went, but the printer worked fine. We replaced it with an Epson Stylus CX7400 when the scanner error light got to be too much. I loved them both, although next time I believe I'll be spendign the extra for a Canon.

I've been thinking of getting one for my business. I mostly need the scanning and faxing options, but my printer is older and could use to be upgraded anyway, so I was thinking I'd do the whole thing. But I will definitely read reviews on epinions and amazon before purchasing.

I swear by them and for average workloads, I would never opt for a dedicated resource again. I have being using a HP AIO for over a year now and my only concern is the cost of the inks.

I just got this (Epson WorkForce 500) for the holiday season (its great to be an adult and open gifts early) and I am loving it so far. It was a good deal and we just had to take advantage of it. The photo copy is better than most I have seen for this price range too.

I have two printers: a cannon pixma ip6000d for photos and an all in one (Lexmark x125). I love my Cannon but HATE my Lexmark. The Lexmark is good for faxing and scanning but for printing documents and pictures, no. I can also attempt to make copies on my Lexmark but they never print out the way I want them too.
