Social networking seems to be all the rage and the latest buzzword on the internet. Most people seem to have one favorite social site that they use the most for whatever reason. I as usual am behind the times in this but am interested. So tell me what your favorite social network is and why?

Most of my friends have MySpace pages so it's an easy way to keep in touch with each other and keep up with what everyone is doing. MySpace is really customizable so it can be more unique than some networks. Lately it's been really slow, though, so I hope they get more servers or something to speed things up.

I use Facebook. To me the format is easier to navigate than Myspace. Myspace seems geared towards teenagers and young people. I love the Facebook has games like scrabulous and suduko and chess, and I have photo albums on there that are easy to share with family members but also kept private.

My favorite social network is actually a forum like this one dedicated to people who work at home. I have a myspace, but I use it rarely in a social manner, actually tend to use it to keep an eye on what my kids are doing on their myspace page! I do occasionally enjoy looking for old friends or people I went to school with on there. Have found a few that way! I do not have facebook. I also use Yahoo Messenger a great deal.

I really don't like any social networking sites. I have a facebook and Myspace, but they really are a waste fo time and brin power for the most part. I sign into MySpace once a week to keep up with college friends, but even then I have to avoid some people's pages due to the "free designs" they have or the sparkle text or glitter pics. It makes me want to yak.

I'll have to check that one out - I love sudoku so that would be cool to be able to play online. I agree, purple, there are many who get way too carried away in dressing up their profiles. I have a couple of friends that know I won't go near their pages as they take forever to load and are four miles long.

I use MySpace to promote the various artistic projects I have going on. It works well in that it is so easy to keep people in the loop with all the new things you have going on, for sale, etc.
In terms of meeting new people, I've only used it to keep in touch with folks I meet in real life. Second Life sounds interesting, though... |

I had a MySpace (although I imagine its still there unless they delete them) and a Facebook, but I really don't have the time to try and update and check all those sites. Especially when its like you have 4 friends only on one and 8 only on the other and a dozen who are on both and some that aren't on either. I finally decided it wasn't worth it.
