Most of us should be pretty familiar with Microsoft's old Frontpage HTML editor, along with the popular Dreamweaver program by Macromedia.
Both of these are high quality programs which are very easy to use. Unfortunately neither of these programs is free, which leads those of us on a budget to seek out comparable free programs. To date the best program I have found is called KompoZer, and it truly is an excellent HTML editor. For those who are interested, check out http://kompozer.net/ and let me know what you think. Has anyone else used this at all? |

I haven't used it yet, but I'm going to try it out! I just bought a new domain name and my limited knowledge of HTML and looking up tags is taking me forever, so an editor would be useful. An open source one is even better!

Well, I hope you like using KompoZer fidget!
From my honest opinion, it is the absolute closest you can get to Dreamweaver for free. KompoZer has a ton of options, along with an ease of use which is also comparable to Frontpage or Dreamweaver. My only complaint is, I don't think KompoZer has had a new version released in a while now. |
