Google has taken it upon themselves to ensure that equality on the net is maintained. It has been suggested that ISP's has it in their power to slow down access to certain websites that are not a part of their commercial agreement.

I was all prepared to be screaming "big brother is watching" until I realized what you actually meant...lol. I'm not sure this would really affect me so much but I'm sure it would some people. I agree with the blogger in that it would be much more widespread if they decided to include it with the toolbar. Then again, just having it there doesn't mean it would be utilized by the majority of everyday net users.

Yep couldnt really disagree with that. There are tons of tools that people have access to all the time and yet never use. While I see google is trying, it might not be their best. Who can really say it will work or not.

Personally I love it. I have often wondered whether the ISP was throttling but had no way to be sure. Having a tool would be nice, and it coming from Google is kind of funky since they are a big corp themselves.
