Ahhh! Thanks fidget- now I know what they are! I've been using computers and the internet for years now and I still don't know what half of the words other people use here mean. We had one guy or girl do that at gamesville. They would come in, try to cause trouble by saying really awful stuff and when they got ignored and kicked out of that room, they would just get another name and go back to it. Sometimes, they got banned from a particular room but would just go to another room and start it up all over again.

Trolls will not necessarily go away if ignored. We had trolls on one forum and we tried to do just that and it failed, the didn't settle down even after a period of weeks. We ended up just banning them for our sanity.

Its a pain sometimes to moderate boards you own or even for friends. There are bans for IP, email and username but that doesnt stop anyone from IP spoofing which seems to be the biggest problem (besides those pesky viagra ads).
