I finally got around to redownloading MSN messenger the other day (I go through love/hate cycles with it) and one of their new things is i'm where you can choose a charity to donate with every message you send using Microsoft Live Messenger or Hotmail Live. I'm not sure how much (I tried to look but couldn't find specifics) but I figure its better than nothing. Anyone else joined this?

I've never heard of this. It sounds pretty good. Did you read about it through MSN or Microsoft? I've seen too many scams saying someone will send money for each email you send that I'm a bit skeptical.

I normally hate instant messaging but needed to have it to communicate with a client. I notice that it said something about choosing a charity but I honestly haven't had a chance to go back and look closer.

It was part of the installation process. You know the multi step thing where it asks you to import contacts and other fun things? I saw it somewhere on the msn site as well. After you set it up it shows i'm next to your name on the messenger window.

I'm going to have to look into this since the main IM software I use is MSN. Especially if they are actually giving money to someone. I wonder if I have to pay for anything? I am going to dig into this and see how it works.
