There are apparently a few other all in one messengers besides the fairly well known Trillian, and I was wondering if anyone here has used them before by any chance. Sadly I can't remember any names at the moment, but I think one of them may have been named after some kind of flower. Does anyone know what programs I am talking about, or have used them? I am just wondering if there is anything better than Trillian.

I have used gaim (for windows and linux) and its alright but I sitll cant signin to multi aims/yims/msns with it, so if you dont need multi same IM connections like I do you can use gaim or pidgin both work decent, I just need more connections.

I actually heard of Gaim before, and I think it has been around about as long as Trillian was. For some reason though, I never did get around to trying it before. You say that you can only use one connection at once though? That is a definite downside for me, but I will still look into it more anyway. Let me know if you find any other programs like this though

I just came across this thread coincidentally - it's funny because I just had reason to download and install Pidgin at work. I'm just playing around in it but I notice that within the last 10 minutes, no less than 3 previously unknown users have sent me idiotic messages. I'm wondering what I've opened up into.
