I'm running Vista with 2gig ram, brand new machine and 56k voice/fax modem. Unfortunately I cannot get DSL where I am and am not favorable to getting Comcast to do cable internet. It's too expensive right now for us.

Is there any way to actually speed up dial-up? I know a lot of things claim to boost speed but do they really?
