Maybe so, but NetCaptor was only a browser shell for Internet Explorer as opposed to an actual stand-alonbe browser such as Firefox or Opera. Also Opera did have tabbed browsing around the same time, but the ones in Netcaptor were closer to browser tabs as we think of them today.

Anyway, Firefox is about the most well rounded browser currently on the market.
